Multi-sample point
Biogas from different sources can be monitoring a single analyser. Up to three sample points will meet the needs of anaerobic digestion (AD) monitoring and energy from waste monitoring on landfill sites:
AD / biogas
- Measuring from more than one digester to check output from each before the gas is mixed to go to CHP, then checking the mixed line too if desired
- Measuring pre- and post-H2S treatment
Landfill
- Measuring from different sections of a landfill before the gas is mixed
- Measuring on line to CHP and line to flare, so both can be controlled
- Measuring pre- and post-H2S treatment
H2S ranges from 0-50ppm to 0-10,000ppm
- Monitoring at a level appropriate for the H2S level generated by the feedstock being used or treatment used to control H2S, such as ferric dosing or oxygen injection
- Monitoring pre- and post-desulphurisation
High range and low range H2S measurement in the same system but from different sample points
- Monitoring pre- and post-desulphurisation to monitor performance of de-sulphurisation equipment or check whether filter material needs replacing/regenerating
- By having two sensor ranges, the sensors can react quickly and appropriately to the levels being measured without delays in reaction time or purging of high levels out of a sensor to accurately get the lower reading
Additional gas monitoring: CO, H2
- Additional gases can be monitored, depending on local requirements.
Heater
- This modification enables gas monitoring in cold climates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, right round the year.
The GA3000 fixed gas monitoring system is an ideal tool for combined heat and power (CHP) engine protection and restart on biogas plants and landfill sites generating electrical power from landfill gas. User-installed, the Geotech GA3000 fixed biogas analyser is reliable and well-supported, with over 99% reported uptime.
Geotech has 200 fixed biogas analysis systems in use worldwide, with applications including AD research facilities, waste water treatment, food and farm waste treatment. Vital for CHP restarting and protection against sudden gas level changes, biogas monitoring equipment can pay back in weeks or even days.
Standard gases are CH4, CO2 and O2, with an H2S monitoring option for raw and processed biogas.
